BIRDS:

Birds and wildlife of Lake Texoma

1. Bald Eagles: Lake Texoma is known for being a wintering ground for bald eagles. These majestic birds can be observed near the lake, especially during the colder months.

FISH:

1. Striped Bass (Striper): Lake Texoma is particularly famous for its Striped Bass population. The lake holds one of the most significant inland populations of Striped Bass in the United States. Anglers often come to Texoma for the chance to catch trophy-sized stripers.

2. White Bass: White Bass are abundant in Lake Texoma, providing another popular target for anglers. Spring is a prime season for White Bass fishing in the lake.

3. Catfish: Multiple catfish species, including Blue Catfish and Channel Catfish, can be found in Lake Texoma. Catfish angling is popular throughout the year.

4. Black Bass: Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass also inhabit the lake, offering opportunities for bass fishing enthusiasts.

5. Crappie: Both Black Crappie and White Crappie can be found in Lake Texoma. Crappie fishing is popular, especially in the spring and fall.
